Our team brings together a wide range of skills and experience, carefully chosen to align with the school’s vision. With their support, our students are able access a thriving learning community, in which all can progress and grow.
At Fieldstone School, our leadership team offers over 50 years of combined experience in education, drawn from a diverse range of school settings. This includes expertise from both mainstream and special educational needs (SEND) settings, giving us a rich understanding of different learning environments and student needs. Our leaders use this extensive experience to shape and deliver the school’s vision, ensuring strong educational strategies and a supportive, inclusive framework for every student and member of staff.
Senior Leadership Team
Alexander Kirkbride – Head Teacher
Alex is the Headteacher at Fieldstone School.
Lewis Harben – Deputy Headteacher
Lewis is the Deputy Headteacher at Fieldstone School, holding responsibility for Behaviour and Attitudes, which includes trauma informed practice.
Lewis has been a senior leader at Fieldstone for many years, fully understanding the schools journey and unique cohort of students. His experience as an SEMH specialist has enabled him to develop the outstanding trauma informed approach that the school depends upon today.
Isobel Harben – Assistant Headteacher
Issy is an Assistant Headteacher at Fieldstone School, and leads Quality of Education.
Issy is a skilled and dedicated leader who has always worked with students with SEMH needs. Over time she has become a Level 6 Careers Leader, and therefore also leads Careers Education across both sites. Issy is passionate about enrichment, leading to the outstanding offer students are able to access during their time with us as a fundamental part of our curriculum.
Victoria Brooks – Assistant Headteacher & SENDCo
Vikki is an Assistant Headteacher at Fieldstone School and the SENDCo for College House students (including overseeing all EHCP’s/annual reviews).
Vikki is a very experienced classroom practitioner having worked in both mainstream and a specialist C&I setting before joining Fieldstone. This has given her a wealth of knowledge to draw upon in supporting our staff in recognising individual needs and adapting to meet them.
Vikki is our Designated Allergy Lead across both sites.
Joshua Harris – Assistant Headteacher & SENDCo
Josh is an Assistant Principal at Fieldstone and the SENDCo for Place House students (which includes overseeing all EHCP’s/annual reviews).
Josh is a very experienced classroom practitioner having worked in both mainstream and a specialist therapeutic alternative provision before joining Fieldstone. This has given him a significant understanding of the importance of the transition process and how high level support and adult input for students must be facilitated to ensure success.
Sophie Warwick – Business Manager
Sophie is Fieldstone School’s Business Manager and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school. She leads our dedicated administration team, overseeing a wide range of operational functions that support both staff and students across the school.
With a strong focus on organisation, efficiency and high standards, Sophie works closely with school staff, families and external partners to ensure that systems and processes run effectively. Her work helps create a positive and well-organised environment where students can thrive and staff can focus on delivering the very best educational experiences.
Sophie is passionate about providing exceptional support to our school community and takes pride in helping ensure that every aspect of school life reflects Fieldstone’s commitment to being the best we can be.
Jess Macdonald – Facilities Manager
Jess is our Facilities Manager and is responsible for ensuring that our environments are safe, welcoming and well maintained across both school sites. Working closely with staff, contractors and the wider school community, Jess oversees the day-to-day management of our facilities, helping to create spaces where students can feel secure, comfortable and ready to learn.
From coordinating maintenance and site improvements to ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, Jess plays a vital role in supporting the smooth running of the school. Her proactive approach and attention to detail help ensure that our learning environments continue to reflect the high standards and nurturing ethos of Fieldstone.
Jess is passionate about providing students and staff with the best possible environment in which to learn, work and thrive, ensuring that both Place House and College House remain welcoming spaces that support positive outcomes for all.
Becca Wilkinson – Designated Safeguarding Lead
Becca is Fieldstone School’s Designated Safeguarding Lead and is responsible for ensuring the safety, wellbeing and welfare of all students across the school. Working closely with students, families, staff and external agencies, she leads on safeguarding practices and helps ensure that every young person receives the support they need to thrive.
With a strong understanding of the complex needs of children and young people with SEMH needs, Becca takes a proactive and compassionate approach to safeguarding. She works collaboratively with staff to promote a culture where students feel safe, listened to and supported, while ensuring that safeguarding remains at the heart of school life.
Becca is passionate about advocating for young people and building positive relationships with families and professionals. Her work helps create an environment where students feel secure, valued and able to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.
Middle Leadership Team
Pete Bilham – Place House Site Lead
Pete has worked with pupils across all age groups at Fieldstone School and has extensive experience supporting young people with a wide range of needs. Having successfully led our Relational Support Team at Place House, Pete has now progressed into a leadership role, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the site and helping to ensure a positive, supportive environment for both pupils and staff.
George Franklin – College House Site Lead
George has built extensive experience working with pupils across Fieldstone School and has played a key role in leading the College House Relational Support Team. In his role now as Site Lead, George oversees the daily running of the provision, ensuring high standards of education, care and support while helping students prepare for their next steps into adulthood.
Darcey Phillips-McCarthy – Phase One Lead
Darcey brings extensive experience in primary education and early learning, having worked with children across a range of settings prior to joining Fieldstone School. As our Phase 1 Lead, she oversees the curriculum and educational provision for our youngest pupils, ensuring learning is engaging, developmentally appropriate and tailored to individual needs. Darcey works closely with staff to provide a strong foundation for learning, helping pupils develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future success.
Chloe Wainwright – Phase Two Lead
Chloe is an experienced educator, who now leads our Phase Three provision. Prior to joining the leadership team, she led on PSHE across the school, playing a key role in developing and enhancing the curriculum. As our Phase Two Lead, Chloe now oversees the educational provision for pupils in this phase, working closely with staff to ensure learning is engaging, relevant and supports both academic progress and personal development, as well as supporting the transition as pupils move across our school sites from Phase Two to Phase Three.
Evie Mason – Phase Three Lead
Evie is passionate about supporting students as they begin their journey at our Place House site. As our Phase Three Lead, she plays a key role in helping pupils settle into their new environment, build positive relationships and develop the confidence needed to succeed. Evie oversees the curriculum and provision across the phase, working closely with staff to prepare students for the next stage of their education and their eventual transition into the final phase of their journey with us at Fieldstone.
Molly Jeffery – Phase Four Lead
Molly brings extensive experience of working with students in Phase Four and is passionate about helping young people prepare for life beyond Fieldstone School. As our Phase Four Lead, she oversees the curriculum and provision for our oldest students, supporting them as they work towards qualifications, develop independence and plan their next steps. Molly works closely with students, families and external providers to ensure successful transitions into post-16 education, training, apprenticeships and other future pathways.
